Hello there.

So this is a little experiment. I’ve spent a considerable amount of time over the past few years observing the actions, words, and activities of public figures in Loudoun County. Recent events have prompted me to reflect upon incidents more publicly, whereas in the past I might have chosen to simply bite my tongue and keep my head down.

But we’re not going to have any more of that. We learned last week exactly how pitiful some of our elected officials can be, and the reality is that this isn’t just a local, isolated problem. It’s all over. As a parent of young children, I have finally had enough and the time has come to defend the (good!) values and traditions we intend to pass on to our future generations.

Our school board reps were a big factor in my decision to write here, but the reality is that public figures across the country use linguistic tricks of the trade every single day and its intent is, almost universally, to make you feel like YOU do not deserve, nor are you worthy of holding a dissenting opinion. To that I say “fuck off”, and I really can’t wait to get started.
